Mr. Viet D. Phan (Phan Việt Dũng) is the Founder and Managing Partner of LuatPVD. He graduated in laws at the Humboldt University of Berlin in 1990 and passed the Second State Examination at the Bavarian Ministry of Justice, Germany, in 1994. With his admission to the Berlin Bar Association, Germany, in 1994 (and to the Hanoi Bar Association, Vietnam, in 1996), he has more than twenty years practicing law in Germany and Vietnam.
Mr. Phan’s practices cover Company Law, Commercial Law, International Trade, Foreign Investments, Banking Law, Intellectual Property, IT, Internet and New Media. He regularly advises on a wide range of domestic and international issues corporate clients in IT, banking, insurance, manufacturing, automobile, airlines, real estates, as well as embassies and NGOs.
Mr. Phan is an active speaker at numerous law conferences by the Max-Planck Institute (Germany), Stanford University (United States) and University of Wollongong (Australia). He also has many publications in leading law magazines in Germany, Japan, and Vietnam.
Mr. Phan is an active contributor to several parts of “Doing Business”, the World Bank / IFC annual report on business regulations and their enforcement around the world, since 2004.
